She completed her residency training at Charity Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2015, she earned her fellowship with the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, or ISSWSH.

She began private practice in Laplace, LA, in 1998 and her practice quickly grew thanks to her ability to relate to women and adolescent girls in particular. Dr. Williams spoke frequently to groups of women and young girls in schools, hospitals, and other settings.

This allowed Dr. Williams to focus on her many interests within gynecology, especially sexual health.

Dr. Williams became a da Vinci certified Robotic Surgeon in 2007, and completed more than 3000 robotic cases. She receives referrals from other physicians of their complex cases, operating on them with the da Vinci system. She now trains other physicians in this sophisticated method of surgery.

In 2015 Dr Williams created the Southern Insitute for Women’s Sexual Health. SIWSH offers women comprehensive evaluation and effective treatment of pelvic and vulvar ending the suffering that so many women endure in silence. Dr. Williams is an expert in accurately diagnosing and treating sexual pain disorders, disorders of the skin, and the vulva, and sexual dysfunction that women experience after chemotherapy, menopause, childbirth, and contraception.
